A New Way To Share Your Love, Support And Forgiveness During The High Holy Days

ST PAUL, MN – The High Holy Days offer the Jewish community an opportunity to go deep within, reflect on ourselves and our relationships, and reach out to the people we love to heal what is broken between us.

In her new, engaging and soulfully written book, THE FOREVER LETTER, published by Llewellyn Worldwide, Rabbi Elana Zaiman has created a heartfelt and healing letter writing practice, accessible for people of all ages. She guides readers on a simple, yet powerful journey to clarify their values, share their wisdom and love, offer forgiveness, ask for forgiveness, and better connect with the people in their lives who matter to them most.

Zaiman notes, “You don’t have to be a professional writer to compose and share a Forever Letter.” The book provides sample Forever Letters, motivational stories, encouraging writing prompts, and step-by-step guidance to help individuals write and share their Forever Letters.

Praise and endorsements come from well-known authors and speakers Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul), Parker Palmer (Let Your Life Speak), and Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman (The Gottman Institute), clergy including Rabbi Angela Buchdahl (Central Synagogue in Manhattan), Rabbi David Wolpe (David: The Divided Harp), Rabbi Sherre Hirsch (Thresholds: How to Thrive Through Life’s Transitions to Live Fearlessly and Regret-Free), and Rabbi Rachel Cowan (Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, & Spirit), and ethics expert Michael Josephson (Josephson Institute of Ethics).

Elana Zaiman (Seattle, WA) has spent her life bringing people together. She is the first woman rabbi from a family spanning six generations of rabbis. How Do You Share Your Values, Wisdom and Love in Today’s Topsy-Turvy World?

In today’s highly contentious political climate, there’s an urgent need for each of us to clarify, communicate, connect, and live our values into action.

In her soulfully written book, THE FOREVER LETTER, Rabbi Elana Zaiman helps to bridge and heal the values divide by guiding people of all ages, faiths and cultures to acknowledge, celebrate, and communicate their values, wisdom and love in powerful and lasting ways with the people who matter to them most.

Inspired by the ancient tradition of the ethical will, where parents and elders shared their values and wisdom with the next generation, Elana creates a heartfelt and healing letter writing practice relevant and accessible for the 21st century. This simple and engaging book provides encouragement, sample Forever Letters, motivational stories, and step-by-step guidance to help individuals write and share their Forever Letters.

THE FOREVER LETTER has received high praise from authors and speakers Jack Canfield, Parker Palmer, and Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman; ethics expert Michael Josephson; clergy Rev. Susan Sparks, Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, Rabbi David Wolpe, Rabbi Sherre Hirsch, and Rabbi Rachel Cowan; and prominent Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorney Barbara Isenhour.
